Hand-Patchworked & Embroidered Linen Bag
I made this medium-sized bag from individually patchworked pieces of linen, which I’ve decorated with colourful hand embroidery. I like to work fairly freely with these pieces, choosing different stitches and colours as I go, which gives it an almost crazy-patchwork feel.
For the back I’ve used recycled denim from old jeans and added a simple hand-embroidered leafy design.
The bag is lined in cotton and has a useful zipped pocket inside. I’ve finished it with a metallic silver zip and one of my glass bead zipper pulls.
It’s a really useful size for a crafting or project bag, make-up bag, or simply for keeping all those little bits and pieces together.
Because I choose and embroider each piece individually as I go along, no two of these bags ever turn out quite the same.
