I made this pouch from pure Irish linen, patchworked in shades of pink and berry and hand embroidered on both sides. I’ve used lots of different stitches and added small shisha mirrors amongst the embroidery.
It’s lined in cotton and is a useful size and shape for pencils, pens, artists’ brushes, make-up brushes, crochet hooks or all those little things that need somewhere to live.
I’ve used a rose-coloured zip with rainbow-coloured teeth, finished with a pink glass bead, and added a small fabric loop at one end for hanging.
As with all my patchworked pieces, I tend to make them as I go along, so no two ever turn out quite the same.
