I made this one-of-a-kind bag from a mixture of cotton and linen fabrics, piecing the different fabrics together by hand.
The front is hand patchworked and embroidered, using a mixture of patterns, flowers and different stitches. I tend to choose the fabrics, colours and embroidery as I go along, so each section develops in its own way.
For the back I’ve used recycled denim from old jeans, which I’ve also hand embroidered.
The bag is lined in cotton and has a useful inside pocket. I’ve finished it with a metallic silver zip and one of my glass bead zipper pulls.
It measures approximately 27 × 15 cm, making it a useful size for make-up, craft supplies or simply keeping smaller things together.
Because I make each of these individually, there’ll never be another one exactly the same.
