Hand-Embroidered Linen & Recycled Denim Wash Bag
I made this roomy wash bag using a mixture of pure linen, recycled denim and repurposed fabrics.
The front is made from strips of pure linen, which I’ve hand embroidered with flowers, leaves and different decorative stitches. I’ve used a mixture of colours and stitches, so there’s lots of detail to discover.
For the back I’ve used recycled denim from old jeans, and inside I’ve added a waterproof lining made from a recycled caravan cover — I do like finding new uses for fabrics that might otherwise be thrown away.
There’s a useful pocket inside, and I’ve finished the bag with a metallic silver zip and one of my glass bead zipper pulls.
It’s a good roomy size for a wash bag or toiletries bag, with plenty of space for all those bits and pieces you want to keep together.
As with most of my embroidered and patchworked bags, I make them individually, so no two are ever quite the same.
Handmade, one stitch at a time...
